Sweet is a cat who truly lives up to her name. While she may start off as a quiet, timid wallflower, those who give her a little time and patience are rewarded with a delightful symphony of chirps, coos, and deep, rumbly purrs. She is a soulful girl who is looking for a calm forever home where she can finally be the one taken care of. Her Personality Sweet spent a long time living outdoors, and her journey from a wary stray to a loving companion has been beautiful to watch. Once she trusts you, she becomes the ultimate lap snuggler. She is perfectly happy to be spend time with you watching TV, videos, or working with you on your laptop. Because she spent so much of her previous life focused on survival, she is only just now discovering the joy of "being a kitten." It is incredibly heart-melting to watch her learn how to play; seeing her bat at a toy or chase a feather for the first time is a true highlight of her day. And, if you’re looking to see her silly side, just bring out the catnip—it’s her favorite treat!
About Me:
The Motherly Soul Sweet has clearly raised many litters in her past, and those maternal instincts remain a core part of who she is. She is fabulous with kittens and young cats, often stepping in to offer them comfort and guidance. She has a huge heart for little ones and would thrive in a home where she can be a mentor. Living with Other Cats Sweet is a dignified lady who gets along well with older, respectful feline roommates. She naturally settles into the role of the matriarch of the household. She isn't aggressive, but she isn't a pushover either—if a resident cat gets too pushy or forgets their manners, she will give a gentle "matriarchal scold" to keep the peace. Sweet’s Ideal Home: A quiet environment with humans who understand that the best things take time. A cozy lap available for frequent snuggles. A home with kittens to mother or respectful older cats. Plenty of toys and catnip to help her keep practicing her play skills!
Notes:
The adoption fee includes a health check, first vaccination in a series and any that become due while in care, first anti-parasite treatments needed in care, spay or neuter and microchip at our Veterinary partner. There is a 10% discount when you adopt 2 cats/kittens. The adopter will be responsible for any vaccine or boosters, anti-parasite treatments that are needed after adoption. Kittens usually need 3 vaccines, one month apart starting at age 7 weeks. Juveniles and Adult cats usually require 2 vaccines one month apart in the first year, then annual vaccines. Deworming is recommended at the time of each vaccine appointment. If you are intending to adopt, please be aware that your Veterinary clinic may be experiencing backlogs in scheduling appointments, so do not delay calling your clinic to book your new cat's needed booster appointment(s). Please note that cats are not tested for FIV/FeLV nor can FIP be predicted. We will share any medical information gathered during our health checks and observations revealed during their time in care. But it is important to know that some illnesses can have an incubation period of 10 days, which means that a cat can leave in good health but get sick a few days post adoption. In addition, the stress of a new environment can affect a cats’ immune system.
