Hi! I’m Bingo and my foster parents always tell me what a handsome boy I am. I like to think of myself as an affectionate independent gentleman. Yes, it’s true, I like to play hide and seek when I first arrive in my new home but once you find me, I promise I’ll accept all the loving pets and compliments you want to give me. If you let me keep one hiding spot as my own, I promise I’ll come out and visit when I feel like I have had enough “me” time. But don’t worry, after a couple of days that “me” time becomes less and less. I like to think that I’m a smart kitty so I’m going to be cautious at first; but once I get my groove I like to hang out with my humans and play with the feather wand! I’ve also found the comfiest spot on the couch to call my own. I do have a special diet, after all, I am a special guy! It helps me keep things running smoothly - so as long as you are okay with keeping my diet the same, I’ll be a happy cat. As an astute gentleman, I would love a family who can empathize that loud noises and quick movements can stress me out (but who wouldn’t be stressed out by that all the time). I wouldn’t mind another cat buddy but of course would need a proper introduction. Let’s meet!

Foster Notes: Bingo is a sweet and affectionate cat who needs a quiet home. He will take awhile to feel safe in his new home, and would appreciate starting out in a comfortable all-inclusive space to call his own where he can receive visits and observe his new family, but have all his needs covered (food, water, litter) while he adjusts. He was quite stressed with a newly mobile human sibling in his original home and so we recommend only older quiet children or no children in his adoptive home. He would do best as an only cat in his adoptive home as he really doesn't like being separated from his people for the introduction period but can be dominant with other cats until their hierarchy is established.

Diet & Medical Needs: Bingo has had an incidence of FLUTD: feline lower urinary tract disease brought on by stress. His recent urinalysis done at our Veterinary partner was clear. However he should continue on prescription canned and dry Urinary SO food to ensure he remains healthy.

ADOPTION FEE: The Special Needs adoption fee is $165.00 (which includes a health check, first vaccination in a series and any that become due while in care, deworming, spay or neuter and microchip at our Veterinary partner). The adopter will be responsible for any vaccine or boosters that become due after adoption. If you are intending to adopt, please be aware that due to Covid your Veterinary clinic may be experiencing backlogs in scheduling appointments, so do not delay calling your clinic to book your new cat's needed booster appointment(s). Please note that cats are not tested for FIV/FeLV nor can FIP be predicted. We will share any medical information gathered during our health checks and observations revealed during their time in care. But it is important to know that some illnesses can have an incubation period of 10 days, which means that a cat can leave in good health but get sick a few days post adoption. In addition, the stress of a new environment can affect a cats’ immune system.
