Male, DSH White, Est., D.O.B. Oct 18, 2016. Adoption Fee: $165.00

Hello! My name is Opossum (male, white from nose to tai;. I was abandoned by my first owner and left outside to fend for myself. One day, a lovely lady brought me home and kept me safe for a few days while she worked out what to do with me. She had two other cats which frightened me, so I stayed in her bathroom the whole time. She brought me to a new home, and after I had checked that there were no other cats around, I hid in some blankets until I was ready to emerge. After a few days of my foster parents introducing themselves, I started to come out of my shell. Now I own the place! They let me cuddle up to them all day and night and I love the company. I learned how to purr again and it feels so good to relax and be loved. I like to greet my carers at the door when they come home, then follow them around everywhere until I can have a lap! All I need is a home where I can stay forever and get lots of love (and food)! Other cats still scare me, so a place where I can be the only cat in town would be best.

Opossum is an extremely sweet cat and anyone would be lucky to have him. Chatty, playful and very loving. As he has been moved around quite a lot, and it took him a while to get comfortable, he needs a home that will commit to him forever. He has arthritis in his rear legs (right leg in particular) and walks with a limp. He has been checked for cancer and it came back negative. The limp doesn’t trouble him too much, as he still loves to run, play, jump and chase his tail! We have tried multiple times to introduce him to other cats and it never goes too well. He doesn’t fight, but holds his ground and growls/hisses every time. I’m sure he could be integrated with other cats over time, but would be best to be looked after on his own.

The adoption fee of $165 per cat includes a veterinary exam, first set of shots, deworming, spay or neuter and microchip. The adopter will be responsible for the second set of shots if they haven’t been administered yet.
