My Story: If you are looking for a companion who will watch over you and follow you around, that’s me! I’m HP, but I respond more to Mama. I am very curious and love to watch you go about your day-to-day life. While I’m not cuddly just yet, I want to be, I have just started sitting on the couch with my Foster Mom and have slept on her bed. I love to play by myself and with people. My favourite toy is foam squishy balls and super bouncy balls. And I love when my Foster Mom plays “chase kitty temptations” with me when she slides them across the floor for me to chase. I was born in the wild and I got a scratched eye from it; making one of my eyes looking a little cloudy and I don’t see the best out of it. I was a mama at only six months old; which is where I got my nickname from! My kittens have already been adopted and now I am looking for my forever home. I am docile, timid, and skittish but have been getting better and better and trusting I am safe. I will most likely feel safe hiding when in a new environment, but once I get comfortable I like to roam free. Though I like to be around people, I love to have my alone time too. I have a routine that in the morning my Foster Mom throws kitty temptations for me to chase and then while she is working if she forgets to put on Cat YouTube, I will look up at the TV and back at her until she gets the hint to put on my show. Because I play so much at night, by the afternoon I like my quiet time under my Foster Mom’s bed, but once it gets evening I am exploring the house and watching over my people roommates.

Foster Notes: HP started off hiding but has improved immensely and continues to improve. Just this week was the first time she layed on top of my bed, and we can now walk past her without her running and hiding. That being said, she still does not like fast movements. She is very sweet, will spend a lot of her time around you from a safe distance. Usually later at night she is in the mood to play, and will let you know. Typically when she wants us to throw treats for her she will intently stare at us and sit in the spot where we play. She is not very food motivated aside from creamy treats, and does things on her own accord. We had tried bringing in another friendly foster feline to show her it’s okay to be around people. That did not go over well, the sheer tremors and being scared as evidence. She also did not like any other cats being in “rooms". She is hard to approach at times, and we can only approach her from her good side (the side she can see from). She will sometimes come up for pets, but it’s a rare occurrence. She loves neck scratches, and am able to, when she is on steps higher than me, will turn her face away from me and lay into the neck scratches. She has been a sweet soul to have and a joy to watch her become more and more comfortable and playful. Cat Whisperer Needed: HP needs a "Cat Whisperer" adopter who will understand her needs and have the patience and persistence to work with her. Although she is a work in progress, but the reward of saving a cat from the harshness & dangers of outdoor life is so worth the effort and time.

ADOPTION FEE: The adoption fee is $225.00 (which includes a health check, first vaccination in a series and any that become due while in care, first anti-parasite treatments needed in care, spay or neuter and microchip at our Veterinary partner). There is a 10% discount when you adopt 2 cats/kittens. The adopter will be responsible for any vaccine or boosters, anti-parasite treatments that are needed after adoption. Kittens usually need 3 vaccines, one month apart starting at age 7 weeks. Juveniles and Adult cats usually require 2 vaccines one month apart in the first year, then annual vaccines. Ripple's core FVRCP and Rabies vaccines are up-to-date until November 2024. Deworming is recommended at the time of each vaccine appointment. If you are intending to adopt, please be aware that your Veterinary clinic may be experiencing backlogs in scheduling appointments, so do not delay calling your clinic to book your new cat's needed booster appointment(s). Please note that cats are not tested for FIV/FeLV nor can FIP be predicted. We will share any medical information gathered during our health checks and observations revealed during their time in care. But it is important to know that some illnesses can have an incubation period of 10 days, which means that a cat can leave in good health but get sick a few days post adoption. In addition, the stress of a new environment can affect a cats’ immune system.
