My Story: Hi, I’m Honour. I am very curious, food motivated, and I love attention. I always want to hangout around my people, and when I think they aren’t giving me enough attention I will meow for it. I love playing with toys, my favourites are: toy wands, and small toys I can grab easily. I have no teeth but that never stops me from eating. I love hard food, soft food, and human food. I love being pet , but only on my back, and sometimes my tail, never my head or tummy. I am pretty good with new people and I am friendly when I meet new people. Foster Notes: Honour is a sweetheart to have as a foster cat. He just loves attention and loves to hangout with us; following us from room to room meowing to make sure we know he’s there. He can be a little bit standoffish when you first meet him. He has specific boundaries that he makes sure are set. He does not like being pet on his head or stomach, and if he feels that we are withholding his food (feeding him too slowly) he will hiss but has not been aggressive, just eager for his food. He likes to sniff your hand when you reach it out to him but if you don’t remove it he will raise his paw as a warning and if you try to pet him face on, he will give a light tap. He loves to rub up against you and have his back pet. He always has energy to play, but is also fine with just hanging out all day. Given how he’s been more and more intent on being around his humans and has been sitting and laying closer to us each day, I do believe he has the potential to be cuddly.

ADOPTION FEE: The Adult adoption fee is $225.00 (which includes a health check, first vaccination in a series and any that become due while in care, first anti-parasite treatments needed in care, spay or neuter and microchip at our Veterinary partner). There is a 10% discount when you adopt 2 cats/kittens reflected in this fee. The adopter will be responsible for any vaccine or boosters, anti-parasite treatments that are needed after adoption. Kittens usually need 3 vaccines, one month apart starting at age 7 weeks. Juveniles and Adult cats usually require 2 vaccines one month apart in the first year, then annual vaccines. Deworming is recommended at the time of each vaccine appointment. If you are intending to adopt, please be aware that your Veterinary clinic may be experiencing backlogs in scheduling appointments, so do not delay calling your clinic to book your new cat's needed booster appointment(s). Please note that cats are not tested for FIV/FeLV nor can FIP be predicted. We will share any medical information gathered during our health checks and observations revealed during their time in care. But it is important to know that some illnesses can have an incubation period of 10 days, which means that a cat can leave in good health but get sick a few days post adoption. In addition, the stress of a new environment can affect a cats’ immune system.
