Delray

Male – DSH Grey Est. DOB July 1, 2019 – Adoption Fee $165.00

MY STORY:

My name is Delray and I’m from a cat colony here in Ottawa. I have been living indoors for a few months now and I think it is really fun but also a bit scary. I’m a shy guy and I’m still getting used to just about everything! I love treat time and snuggles with other kitties. I do like to play but I get worried if humans are watching me closely. My favourite time is nighttime. When everyone is asleep and the house is quiet, I love to run around like a maniac! I am super strong and I can jump really high. You will be so impressed with me when I run and play!

FOSTER NOTES:

Delray is new to indoor life and can be a bit skittish. He is learning a lot from his older foster brother and would likely do best with another cat or kitten around to show him how to be a house cat. At feeding time, Delray is okay with some pets and scratches. He is not cuddly and does not like to be picked up, at least not yet. New people and new sounds make him nervous - he usually hides under the sofa. Delray would do well in a quiet home with someone who is very patient and helps to build his confidence. He is okay around the resident dog and likes sleeping in the dog bed. He needs a home with no children.

MEDICAL NOTES:

Anti-anxiety medications have been used in the past and may be needed again when Delray experiences stressful events, such as going to the vet.
