My name is Atticus and I’m ready to find my furever home. I have had some health problems but I’m a champ and battled through them! Both of my eyes were infected when I was younger and one had to be removed. The other looks a little weird now and my vision is a little cloudy but I can still make my way around; if you call me I will normally come rushing over for snuggles. I am a big calm guy and I am very friendly: whenever someone new comes in the door I always greet them. My favourite place to be is right on top of your lap, being brushed with a Sticky Buddy, or chasing a string you are wiggling in front of me. I will meow for attention but won’t keep you up all night, and I will rub my head against yours to show that i love you. I have previously lived with a family with children, dogs, and other cats, so I am pretty easygoing.

Atticus lost one eye when he was young from ulcers resulting from the herpes virus. It was painful so had to be removed - the other eye has scarring but he can see from it and does not cause pain. He will require more frequent vet appointments to monitor the situation. His eye sometimes leaks so the adopter will need to wipe away his “eye boogers. He is such an affectionate cat.

The adoption fee for a special needs cat is $100, which includes a veterinary exam, first set of shots, deworming, spay or neuter and microchip. The adopter will be responsible for the second set of shots if they haven’t been administered yet.
